Poker Classes

Want to get elite coaching for less cost?  Committed to the long-term improvement of your game?  Try our exclusive poker classes.  Whatever your limit, we can group you with players with similar skill and similar leaks.  Whether you play Full Ring, 6max, or Heads Up, we can tailor a class to your needs.

Classes follow the Baluga Method, with video review, Socratic style questioning, and theory-intensive discussion.  Small class size (never more than 8 students) will mean plenty of personal interaction and, of course, a guarantee that we’ll answer any question you might have.  Each week, we’ll address the persistent theory problems that hurt your game and use the class environment to grow a broader understanding of the theory.  Essentially, it’s like hiring an elite coach for half the cost and having a group of friends to help you learn.

SSNL Course Curriculum is listed here:

Week 1: We introduce the class to the fundamentals and basics-the reasons for betting, preflop hand ranges and postflop equities, turn aggression and evaluating Fold Equity. This is a structural class, foundational to the development of poker theory at all levels.

Week 2: Week Two expands upon the previous week's foundational concepts, introducing the handbook for beating small stakes-getting value. We discuss Bet Sizing, Value Streets, Thin Value, Board Texture, and Pot Management.

Week 3: Week Three starts to move past the basics and into the finer points of poker theory that will allow you to fully crush your games. The class covers Basic Handreading, Player Identification, and Isolation Theory.

Week 4: Now that we've solidified our game and are comfortably getting value and handreading effectively, we move on to more aggressive moves. Week 4 is all about 3-betting and dealing with 3-bet pots both in position and out of position. There will also be an introduction into the creation of Image.

Week 5: Table conditions influence every decision we make in poker. Week 5 goes in-depth to discuss Table Dynamics, Preflop Raise Sizes, and Multiway Pots.

Week 6: Week Six tackles many of the tricky flop spots you encounter, covering Showdown Theory and fully discussion C-betting.

Week 7: The final week of class covers Blind Play, Total Game Strategy, and Check-Raises. This concludes the regular series of classes.

Week 8: Week 8 is a review section that goes over the content from the previous 7 weeks.
